“Write Around The World! A Pay-What-You-Wish Fundraiser to Inspire New Writing”, Jalopy Theater, Sunday, May 12th, 11 AM – 1 PM
Treat yourself and your mom to a fun, prompted free-writing workshop! Come on out and support a great organization, Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA), while creating new writing and getting positive verbal feedback for what is working well in whatever you choose to share. Bring your pen, your paper, your laptop. No donation is too small, and all donations are tax deductible.
Come workshop drafts of your short stories, essays, novel, biography, etc. on Sundays at the Jalopy Theater in Carroll Gardens/Red Hook, and even create some new writing with one or more prompts in every session.
Writing tutoring, editing help, and private consultations can also be arranged as well.
“A writer is someone who writes.” ~ William Stafford
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ H. Jackson Brown, Jr.’s mother, by many sources, though often attributed to Mark Twain. I’m putting my money on the unnamed mother.
